The Chairperson of the NCCE, Josephine Nkrumah, has encouraged pupils to segregate plastic from papers and other bio-degradable waste to ensure environmental cleanliness.
Miss Nkrumah said since environmental sanitation is not a responsibility of government only, but every citizen. She especially asked school children to play a critical role in improving sanitation in the country.
Receiving Disposable Waste bins on behalf of the Commission, Miss Nkrumah said sanitation is high on the agenda of the Commission because of the poor sanitation situation in the country.
