The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), says it is poised to intensify public education in the upcoming District Level Election, especially in the regions.
According to the commission, the election is fundamental to strengthening Ghana’s democracy, which is why education on it has already been incorporated into its programme guide.
Deputy Chairman in Charge of Operations, Samuel Akuamoah, said this in an interview with GBCNEWS in Accra on the District Level Election, which has been slated for December 19.
Mr. Akuamoah expressed fears about the date, saying many people travel during the period for the Yuletide, which may negatively impact turnout.
He appealed to the government and other well-meaning institutions to support the commission for sustained public engagement on the election.
