Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Professor Amin Alhassan has called for deeper relationship between the Corporation and the Deutsche Public Service Broadcaster for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
He said GBC is committed to standing out as a Public Service Broadcaster and is, therefore, positioned to partner the well-established ones across the globe for best practices.
Welcoming the Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, Ron Strikker during a visit to Broadcasting Housing in Accra, Professor Alhassan requested for opportunities that will see the Editorial Staff of the Corporation visit the International Criminal Court, ICC in The Hague to learn at first hand and report directly operations of the ICC.
The Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, Ron Strikker said his visit to GBC is in line with his quest to learn more about the Ghanaian society. He said the Netherlands and Ghana have a long standing relationship which can only be deepened.
He mentioned the funding of media training programmes and investment in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene as some interventions made by the Netherlands in Ghana.
