Yagbonwura Bi-kunuto Jewu Soale is the new Overlord of the Gonja Traditional area.
He was outdoored yesterday at a colourful traditional event at the forecourt of Jakpa Palace at Damongo in the West Gonja municipality of the Savannah region.
This follows a successful enskinment amidst traditional rites at Nyange, the ancient traditional seat of the king of Gonja land.
Many have touted the time-tested customs and traditions of the land as far as succession to the throne is concerned.
Yagbonwura Bi-kunuto Jewu Soale is expected to lead his people by consolidating the peace gained by his predecessors.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who graced the occasion, reiterated the point that the enemy of the people is poverty and that peace is a prerequisite in the collective quest for development in the Kingdom and beyond.
