Leader and Founder of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, has chided Ghanaians for being ungrateful to the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, saying he does not get the level of recognition he deserves.

“He sacrificed to come and serve Ghana when he could have become a professor,” he said.

He eulogised Nkrumah as one with great leadership skills that are incomparable to any leader after his death. He added that political factions and agendas have overshadowed the recognition of such a great hero and his remarkable contributions.

“There are those who fit in every shoe that is given to them, and Nkrumah was one,” he stated.

He further stated that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is celebrated more outside the borders of Ghana than within the country itself.

He urged the general public to set aside political differences and unite in giving Dr. Kwame Nkrumah the credit and recognition he rightfully deserves. He said that celebrating Nkrumah’s legacy should not be a matter of politics but a shared commitment to honouring a leader whose sacrifices laid the foundation for Ghana’s independence.

“Let’s go back to history, and let’s not give credit to the wrong people,” he added.
