The Ghana Nurses and Midwives Trainee Association has appealed for an increment in their allowance.

This is because the ¢400.00 monthly allowance is inadequate to cater for their cost of living.

Zonal President of the Eastern and Volta Regional Chapters of the Association, Edward Ndebila told GBC’s Nathaniel Nartey that government owes members at least eight months arrears adding that some members have not received their monthly allowance for 20 months.

The Association has therefore given government one-week ultimatum to settle all arrears owed members.
