The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially declared former Finance Minister Kenneth Ofori-Atta wanted, urging the public to provide information on his whereabouts.
This announcement follows a press briefing in Accra on February 12, 2025, where the OSP described Ofori-Atta as a “fugitive”.
In a statement on social media, the OSP described Ofori-Atta, 66, as a fugitive and listed the United States and the United Kingdom as possible locations.
The Special Prosecutor charged Ofori-Atta with several charges related to the Strategic Mobilisation-GRA Contract, the termination of the ECG-BXC contract, payments connected to the National Cathedral, ambulance procurement, and the use of the Tax Refund Account.
The public is encouraged to assist in locating Ofori-Atta by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 0554494499 or 0554484488.
Meanwhile, the OSP has issued a legal disclaimer, stating that all individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
