President Akufo-Addo has launched a billion-dollar ultra-modern Oil Refinery at the Tema Industrial Area in the Greater Accra region.

The first phase will refine forty thousand barrels of crude oil per day and the second phase is expected to process one hundred thousand barrels a day.

The Minister of Energy, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh said the government will support the energy sector with consistent policies and programmes to continue to ensure the supply of fuel that the country needs.

He said the Refinery will not only provide a stable supply of fuel but will help create jobs.
