The Ghana Water Company Limited says only households and consumers that utilize up to 5000 litres of water in a month are benefiting from the relief package on water which was announced by President Akufo-Addo in December last year.
Speaking in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Upper East Regional Chief Manager of the Ghana Water Company Limited, Kwasi Abebrese noted that households or customers who use water above the 5000 litres threshold will bear the cost of water they used.
While stressing that government institutions are not categorized under the COVID 19 relief package on water, Mr Abebrese further reminded customers to use water judiciously especially during this period of Harmattan and urged them to pay their bills promptly to ensure a regular water supply.
