Health professionals at the Bultuo CHPS compound have heaved a sigh of relief. This is because a borehole has been sunk within the premises of the facility.

A Community health nurse at the facility, Adisatu Mabieri said the sighting of the borehole at the facility means that health workers will not have to depend on collected rainwater or the benevolence of women in the community to fetch water for use at the CHPS compound.

Bultuo is a community in the Wa West District with over one thousand inhabitants. The community had only two functional boreholes which were sighted several kilometers apart.

A Community health nurse at the Bultuo CHPS compound, Adisatu Mabieri said the situation posed significant risk to the work of health professionals in the facility.

After word of the struggle of the community along with the CHPS compound got to the Dabo District of the Church of Pentecost, funds were raised to support the drilling of a new borehole.

One of the women in the community, Dorah Baloreboah said the sighting of the borehole at the health facility would be beneficial to the community particularly pregnant women who are due for delivery.

The Dabo District Church of Pentecost with support from donors sunk and mechanized another borehole in Dabo in an effort to ease the struggle for water in the community.

The Wa Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Daniel Nii Tetteh Tackie said the Church would continue to possess the nation through support for communities in need.

Pastor Tettech Tackie mentioned that the support to communities is based on the most pressing needs of the communities.

The Church also used the opportunity to dedicate newly built churches at Olli, Dabo and Gomali all in the Wa West District.

Accompanying Pastors and Elders of the Church of Pentecost was the DCE for Wa West, Edward Labiir Sabo. Nose masks and sanitizers were also distributed and residents were implored to adhere to the safety protocols that have been put in place to fight the Coronavirus disease.
