The Ghana Police Service has dismissed claims circulating on social media that Malik Basintale, the Deputy Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been declared wanted.
In an official statement on X, the Police categorically refuted the rumours, stating that the information is false.
The attention of the Ghana Police Service has been drawn to a claim circulating on some social media platforms to the effect that Malik Basintale has been declared wanted by the Police.

We wish to categorically state that the claim is false.
The service urged the public to disregard the false reports and treat them with contempt.
The statement emphasized that there is no ongoing manhunt for Malik Basintale, and the circulating claim holds no truth.
The Police further called on individuals to avoid spreading unverified information that could mislead the public.
