President Akufo-Addo has met with transport owners and leadership of 137 Market Associations at the Jubilee House in a bid to stem the spread of the Coronavirus.
He commended the traders for supporting the fumigation of major markets in Accra on Monday, March 23.
“Continue to maintain strict self-discipline, and continue to practice prescribed social distancing and enhanced hygiene protocols in all aspects of our daily lives,” he urged them.
The Minister of Local Government, Hajia Alima Mahama said the fumigation exercise was successful.
President Akufo-Addo asked transport owners to be active players in any initiative aimed at bringing the coronavirus under control.
