President Nana Akufo-Addo has made new appointments to the Council of State for his second term.
A statement from the Communication Directorate of the Jubilee House named 11 persons including the immediate past Chairman of the Council, Nana Otuo Siriboe, Juabenhene.
The rest are Archbishop Justice Ofei Akrofi, Sam Okudzeto, Stanley Blankson, Prof. AtoEssuman, Alhaji AminuAmadu and Dr. Margaret Amoakohene.
The others are Mrs. Georgina Kusi, Mrs. Alberta Cudjoe, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton and Alhaji Sule Yiremiah. The President, subject to consultation with Parliament, has also appointed, in accordance with Article 89(2)a former Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood, a former Chief of the Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. J.B. Danquah, and a former Inspector General of Police, Nana OwusuNsiah, to the Council.
The President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi,is an ex-officio member of the Council. The composition of the Council will be completed with the election of the regional representatives due to be held on the 12th of this month.
