President Akufo-Addo has left Ghana on a 12-day working visit to Scotland, Norway, the UK, Switzerland and Belgium.
He will be speaking today at the St Andrews Africa Summit on Leadership, Development and Entrepreneurship in Scotland.
While in Oslo, Norway, the President who is a co-Chair of the Eminent Group of Advocates of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals with the Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg will also join SDG Advocates at a High-Level Meeting on Food Security and Climate Change.
He is expected to be in London, on February 27, to speak on: “Financing for Sustainable Development in Africa” at Chatham House, and later pay a State Visit to Switzerland on the 28th and 29th of this month.
The Swiss visit is a reciprocal one paid to Ghana, in July 2017, by the ninety-first President of the Swiss Confederation, Doris Leuthard.
At the invitation of the European Conservatives and Reformists ECR, Group, President Akufo-Addo will be in Brussels, Belgium on 3rd March to address the 2nd ECR-Africa Summit on 4th March on “Ghana’s economy and thriving democracy”.
He is expected to hold discussions with the leadership of the European Union on issues pertaining to Ghana-EU relations.
The President will return home on Wednesday, 4th March.
