The President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has revoked the appointment of Mr. Koranteng as the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF), effective immediately.
A letter issued from the Office of the President directed Mr. Koranteng to hand over his duties to the President’s representative at the Ministry of Finance.
Mr. Koranteng assumed the role of CEO at the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF) in March 2021.
During his tenure, MIIF implemented numerous initiatives to maximize Ghana’s mineral revenues for the country’s economic growth.
In the interim, Hon. Dr. Ato Forson will oversee the operations of the Fund until a substantive CEO is appointed.
The President expressed gratitude to Mr. Koranteng for his service to the nation. This decision aligns with the ongoing changes accompanying the recent presidential transition.
