Sachet and bottled water will see a hundred percent increase in prices starting Monday, December 27.
Sachet water which used to be 20 pesewas will now be sold at 40 pesewas. 750 ml bottled water will now be sold at two cedis while the 500 ml will be one cedi 50 pesewas.
President of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers, Magnus Nunoo, in an interview with GBC News said the upward review in prices has been necessitated by hikes in fuel prices and transportation issues.
