A Community Development Project dubbed: Champion of Change has ended in Accra, with a call for State institutions associated with gender issues to be well-resourced to function more effectively.
The project which was organised by Girls Advocacy Alliance Project, was attended by Chiefs, Queen mothers and religious leaders from five regions who shared experiences on Child Abuse and early marriage, as well as strategies to address them.
The participants in a Communique denounced all forms of negative traditional and religious practices that affect the dignity, development and the rights of women and children.
