Public sector nurses, midwives threaten to strike from Monday September 21

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association has announce a total withdrawal of Services from Monday 21st September 2020 at 8am.

This was announced at a press conference addressed by the President of the Association Mrs. Perpetual Ampofo, following government’s unrepentant stance on the negotiation of  conditions of service for nurses and Midwives.

The strike is part of their demand for improved conditions of service.

A statement issued by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association PRESS RELEASE and signed by its President Mrs. Perpetual Ampofo advised “the general public to seek medical attention from other health facilities.”
