The Eastern Regional Representative of the Council of State, Evelyn Korang, has pledged her unwavering support to the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey. She reaffirmed her commitment to collaborating effectively with the minister to promote development in the region.
According to Madam Korang, working together as daughters of the region with a shared vision will enable them to harness their collective strengths, expertise, and experiences to drive transformative change. She emphasized that this collaboration will ultimately improve the lives of the people and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
Madam Korang gave this assurance when she called on the minister at the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council in Koforidua, the regional capital. The visit marked her maiden official meeting with the minister following her election and subsequent swearing-in as the Eastern Regional Representative to the Council of State.

She assured the minister of her preparedness to assist her in various ways and urged her not to hesitate to call on her whenever the need arises.
On her part, Mrs. Awatey congratulated the council member on her election to the high office and expressed gratitude for her pledge of support. She expressed confidence that, together, they could drive meaningful development in the region. She noted that their commitment to the region’s prosperity would serve as a powerful catalyst for growth, and she looked forward to working closely with Madam Korang to achieve their shared vision.
Meanwhile, the Regional Development Planning Officer, Michael Agyemang, appealed to the council member to use her office to lobby for the construction of a modern and befitting market center in Koforidua.
