The people of Kasoa, in the Central Region, are appealing to the Electoral Commission to bring in additional equipment or open up more Centers to expedite the Limited Registration process because Kasoa is densely populated.

On the third day of registration, the Center was overcrowded due to the slow pace of the process.

In an interview, some of the registrants complained of spending a lot of money on transportation to get to the registration center.

Also, the inconvenience is unbearable as ‘the road leading to the center has a lot of potholes making it more difficult and cumbersome to commute’.

Furthermore, the scorching sun is also unbearable in the long hours of wait encountered.

”Due to the high number of people at the center, the machines experience pressure which makes them to stop frequently and have network connection issues. This delays the registration process, making it a long and tiring experience”, one of the registrants noted in an interview.

It was discovered that at Kasoa,, some people sleep at the Registration Centers. Those who sleep at one of the registration centers complained about the lack of basic facilities such as toilets and running water.
