Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, has urged pastors and Christians to prioritize evangelism and church planting.
Speaking at the Gabon Assemblies of God National Convention in Libreville, he emphasized the importance of what he described as an “aggressive” approach to meet the World Assemblies of God Fellowship’s goal to establish one million churches by 2033 (MM33).
As Vice Chairman of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance (AAGA), Rev. Wengam delivered a message on “Soul Winning – Lessons from Three Critical Parables of Jesus.” He discussed the reasons, roadmap, and rewards for soul-winning, underscoring the urgent need to spread the gospel and establish worship spaces, especially in underserved communities.
The convention took place at Peniel Temple, led by Rev. Dr. Jude Ngouwa, General Superintendent of Gabon Assemblies of God and Chairman of AAGA. Rev. Wengam was also in Gabon to attend an AAGA executive council meeting.
He emphasized the reasons for soul-winning, the road map to follow, and the rewards of this important spiritual activity. “ “All this underlines the need to scale up the spread of the gospel, as well as the provision of places for worship, especially in deprived communities, “ Rev Wengam stressed.
