Royalhouse Chapel International, Ahenfie has once again exemplified the essence of the festive season by showing love to the less privileged and vulnerable in society.
The church visited five orphanages across the capital to present assorted food items to the children during the Yuletide.
The beneficiary orphanages included the Village of Hope orphanage at Gomoa Fetteh, Royal Seed Orphanage at Kasoa, Kinder Paradise at Prampram, Nyamedua Orphanage at Ashley Botwe and Shekinah Orphanage at Dawa.
The church presented bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, tin tomatoes, biscuits, toffees, drinks, eggs, mackerel, clothing, shoes and a cash amount to the orphanages.
The Premiere Lady of Royalhouse Chapel, Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye- Ankrah, who led the presentations, said it is an annual tradition of the church to celebrate Christmas with the children at the orphanages.
She said Christmas is a time of showing love, adding that there is no way one can love Jesus without showing love to other people.
She said Jesus, in the Bible commanded his disciples to go out and show love to the underprivileged, and that was the call the Compassion Ministry of the church was responding to.
“We the compassion ministry of Royalhouse chapel are touching our generation with the power of God.”
The manager of Village of Hope, Samuel Addo Osei thanked the church for the show of love.
“We want to thank you for the support,” he said. “We ask that whatever you are doing God should bless it so that you can have more to do more.”
