Reopening of Sandema Senior Technical School has been extended for another week. This is because the report by the Committee tasked by REGSEC to investigate the rioting is not ready.

A midnight campus riot at the Sandema Senior High Technical School last month claimed one life and led to the collapse of a female student.

A student, who was identified as Nashiru, was reportedly hit in the chest by one of the stray bullets of the Police team dispatched to restore calm on campus.

Meanwhile, two other schools which are the Kongo SHS in the Nabdam district and St. Benedict SHS in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region which were also closed down following student riots remain closed.
