The Chief Servant of Radiant Gospel Mission in Accra, Reverend Solomon Kotei, has asked Ghanaians to scale all negative behaviours in this new year, 2023, in order to realise their own dreams and ultimately the dream of the country.

He told GBC News in Accra in a New Year’s message that there are good times ahead despite all the challenges confronting the country. He said tendencies like backbiting and pull him down need to be discarded as they do not ensure the progress of any society.

‘We should stop the slandering, we should stop the pull him down, we should stop the attitude of ‘it is we verses them. That will not help us as a country.”

He said, they that know their God, they will act strong, saying Ghana is not in isolation from what the entire global world has suffered. ‘So, we will come with the scripture from Daniel that says, that they that know their God will act strong. It is calling for perseverance, and we cannot be persevering while we are pulling down our own structures.

He prayed for good times ahead for the country and stressed the need to continue “our intercession for the land, so that our land will be healed”.

He called on Ghanaians to have the right mindset, adding, while, looking forward with the meltdown of the economy and how things have gone, all efforts of the government now and public sector system should add on to see the recovery of our major currency, the Ghanaian Cedi as against the dollar.

Reverend Kotei noted those who have been placed at the helm of affairs, if God use human beings to change things, he should use them (those in authority) to improve the living conditions of average Ghanaians.

The Chief Servant of Radiant Gospel Mission, in the new year exhortation, also spoke about cleanliness, saying it is a strong way out of the many diseases confronting the country.

He pointed out that it is no fluke that the economy had become very harsh to every Ghanaian. But cautioned, that should not make “us to forget about basic things like cleanliness, that we ought to do. Cleanliness has been one of our major challenges.

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness and that should be one project that this government and successive governments should carry it across and our land will be a peaceful one for us to enjoy.”

Rev. Kotei, observed, “you enter the city and a mess everywhere. If in 2023 and the coming years, government in addition to all civil society leaders, can make a commitment that let’s clean our frontage, I believe it will help us as Ghanaians to get a direction to make Ghana come clean.”
