Leadership of the Senior Staff Associations of Universities of Ghana has reiterated its intention to declare a nationwide strike if government fails to address its concerns by close of day.
The Association on Wednesday, July 14, issued a statement which indicated that negotiations with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission had stalled, and called out the National Labour Commission (NLC) for its silence on the matter, in the quest to negotiate better conditions of service.
National Chairman of the Association, Mohammed Zakaria, told GBC’s Nathaniel Nartey that the association has since received feedback from the NLC but is yet to hear from the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.
