The Senior Staff Association of Universities of Ghana has threatened to go on strike in the next five days if all outstanding issues on members’ conditions of Service are not addressed.
The Association called off its strike on the 11th of this month after it was invited by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and the National Labour Commission, NLC to the negotiating table.
However, discussions stalled when the Association made a counter-proposal to the one initially proposed by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, which they felt was inadequate.
National Chairman of the Association, Mohammed Zakaria is not happy with the NLC’s continuous silence on the matter.
