A 26-year-old shoemaker, who used broken bottles to inflict wounds on a patron at a popular drinking bar at Bokankye, in the Atwima-Nwabiagya South Municipality, has been remanded into police custody by the Nkawie Circuit Court.
Kwaku Boateng, is said to have attacked his victim without any provocation at about 10:40pm, on November 3, this year.
His plea was not taken and he would reappear before the court presided by Mr Michael Johnson Abbey, on December 11.
Detective Inspector Anthony Acheampong told the court that, the victim, Philip Nyarko, was waiting for his brother at the drinking spot when accused suddenly appeared and attacked him without any provocation.
Prosecution said the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment and afterwards it was reported to the police.
Insp Acheampong said accused was arrested and after investigations, charged and brought before the court.
