Some victims of the Banking and microfinance crisis in the Ashanti region have confirmed receiving their entire savings as stated by the government.

One of them, Comfort Appiah, a nursing student told GBC’s Radio Ghana that she has received all her ¢3,000.00 savings locked up with the First Allied Savings and Loans company.

In an interview with Correspondent Nicholas Osei-Wusu in Kumasi, Miss Appiah thanked the government for facilitating the payment of the locked-up funds.

She, however, said she has lost trust in the banking and financial system and has resorted to saving part of her income at home.
