Two people have been arrested for disclosing their votes in yesterday’s early voting at Teshie in Accra.

The Teshie Nungua Police Divisional Commander, Abraham Apusinge said the two are assisting the Police with investigations after which they would be arraigned before Court.

Meanwhile, the Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe is advocating swift stricter punishment for suspects for violating electoral laws in the early voting.

Dr. Quarcoo believes if custodial sentence is given to them before the December 7 elections, it will deter others from replicating such acts.

In a related development, the Ghana on Tuesday, December 1, undertook special voting especially for personnel of the Security Services, Journalists and those who will provide special services on December 7.

Reports indicate that some voter’s names were missing from the Special Voter’s roll.

Director of Electoral Services at the EC, Dr. Serebour Quaicoo said these names will be on the register in their constituencies. He told GBC’s Radio Ghana that no names have been deleted and explained circumstances under which the names were missing.
