Tamale International Airport to provide Aircraft Maintenance Activities

Tamale International Airport,located in the Northern region of Ghana is to have Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility upon completion to provide aircraft maintenance activities.
Ms Cecilia Dapaah, the outgoing Minister of Aviation, disclosed this when she met with Committee on Finance at Parliament to discuss the loan agreement between the Government of Ghana and KFW IPEX-Bank GMBH for an amount of US$80 million for the construction of the second phase of the Tamale International Airport.
This facility at the Tamale International Airport will be the third of its kind in Africa with similar ones in Ethiopia and South Africa.
The facility will be operated by Kenpong Aircraft Maintenance Ghana Limited (KAMGL), a subsidiary of the Kenpong Group of Companies.
