The ravaging sea waves hit it again as it swept through three Major Districts along the coast of the Volta Region during late hours of 3rd April, 2022.

The rising of the sea level occurred at the time many of the residents were prepared to go to bed after a hard day of work: Fishing, farming and salt mining from the Keta Lagoon Complex.

The Communities affected include, Amutsi/Salakorpe, Vodza, Keta Central, Ketdzikorpe, Agorkedzi through to Atiteti, all in the Ketu South Municipality, Keta Municipality and Anloga District respectively.

The tidal waves at the time have crossed the major road linking Anlo Area through Keta to Aflao into the Keta lagoon.

The situation looked very terrible forcing households out of their rooms to higher grounds and other adjoining Communities.
