The Energy Minister, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has opened up bluntly to Ghanaians, demanding a timetable for the ongoing power outages.
For the past three months, Ghana has been experiencing what has become dumsor (Power outage) in Ghanaian jargon. The Energy Minister, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, vented his spleen on Ghanaians for demanding a timetable for the ongoing dumsor (power outages).
The situation has further worsened, prompting Ghanaians to request a timetable to enable them to plan.
But the Minister of Energy, who appeared incensed while speaking to the media, said the ECG has no timetable and that if anybody has a timetable, he should bring it to them.
“If you have timetable, bring it to us,” Mr. Opoku Prempeh fumes.
But his comments have received widespread condemnation from the public, who are wondering why a Minister who is being paid by their tax would react in that snobbish manner.
He, however, denied assertions that there is Dumsor, saying the ECG is fixing the problem.
