A heavily loaded truck carrying concrete blocks lost control and crashed into approximately eight vehicles, critically injuring a mother and triggering massive traffic disruptions.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m. as the truck descended from an overhead section of the road en route from Circle toward the police headquarters, slamming into slow-moving vehicles.

Eyewitnesses said the truck’s brakes might have failed, leading to the accident. It smashed into parked and slow-moving cars, trapping a mother and her baby. Rescuers pulled them out—the mother was rushed to the hospital with bad injuries, but the baby was safe. The driver of their car had only small cuts.

Police and firefighters worked quickly to clear the road. They removed blocks from the truck to free crushed cars, leaving piles of blocks on the roadside.
Officers said the truck’s license plate was partly hidden by handlebars, making it hard to read. “This is illegal and makes finding drivers harder,” a cop said.

The crash caused a huge traffic jam. Police redirected cars to stop the road from clogging completely.
The truck driver fled and is still missing. Police are asking for help to find them. People are now questioning if trucks with heavy loads and hidden plates should be allowed on busy roads.
