The United States Ambassador to Ghana Stephanie Sullivan has explained that the new visa restrictions which came into effect on Monday, is not for all visa applicants.
She says the restrictions are not perpetual and so Ghanaians should hold their peace.
According to her, Washington is busily working at ensuring speedy processing of visa application.
The ambassador said this when she spoke with radio Ghana after she paid a courtesy call on the speaker of parliament.
According to her, failure of bilateral efforts to resolve issues triggered the visa restriction.
The speaker of Parliament, Professor Aaron Michael Oquaye for his part, said relations between Accra and Washington keep deepening due to the commitment of the two countries to the rule of law.
He extolled the contribution of America to the boosting the democracy of Ghana.
