The Vice President of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has received medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre following a sudden illness on Friday, March 28, 2025.

A statement from the Presidency Communications Office, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, confirmed that the Vice President fell ill after work and was admitted to the facility on Saturday for medical attention.

Based on expert medical advice, she is expected to seek further treatment abroad. The statement extended well wishes for her speedy recovery.

Further updates on her condition and travel plans for medical care are expected in the coming days.
