The Executive Director of World Inspiring Network (WIN), Maxwell Odonkor, accompanied by the Project Coordinator, Guilherme De Ory, and Executive Assistant, Thelma Naroog Bamanteeh, has paid a courtesy call on the Africa Business Bureau (ABB) in Accra.

The visit sought to among other discussions express gratitude to ABB for its support in the successful execution of the first edition of the Green Action Summit and to strengthen bilateral relations between the two organizations.

The meeting was also aimed at exploring opportunities for job creation and employment for young people through sustainable projects.

Speaking at the meeting, the Executive Director of WIN, Maxwell Odonkor, indicated that their organization was committed to empowering young people from underserved communities in Ghana who are passionate about creating a better future for themselves, their communities, and the planet.

He emphasized that they were focused on running sustainable projects that would improve livelihoods rather than offering short-term assistance.

He explained that one of their key initiatives for 2025 was a youth-led, community-based insect farm under the Green Action Project.

According to him, the project would provide a sustainable alternative to animal feed for poultry and aquaculture while also creating income opportunities for local communities.

He added that the insect farm would contribute to food security, reduce waste, and promote climate-smart agricultural practices.

On his part, WIN’s Project Coordinator, Guilherme De Ory, noted that the insect farm would not only generate revenue for local communities but also create employment opportunities for young people, equipping them with valuable skills.

He further explained that the project would support climate-resilient agricultural practices and contribute to biodiversity conservation.

He highlighted that the pilot phase of the insect farm would take six months, after which its findings would be presented at the 2025 Green Action Summit in October.

The Managing Director of ABB, Mrs. Natasha Sena A. Abraham, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, and emphasized the potential for the initiative to drive positive impact in Ghana.

At the end of the meeting, the WIN delegation presented a citation to the Africa Business Bureau in recognition of its contributions to the success of the Green Action Summit held last year.
