Member of Parliament for Korley Klottey Constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, emphasized the importance of accountability and recognition during the 43rd anniversary of the 31st December Revolution in Nungua. The event, themed “Victory 2024: Time to reset Ghana,” marked a pivotal moment in Ghana’s history.

Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings stressed that leadership with integrity is crucial, and individuals must be held accountable for their actions. She also advocated for the reinstitution of consequence management to eradicate the psyche of impunity. “People must be held accountable for what they do, and those who do the right thing must be recognized,” she emphasized.

The MP further highlighted the need to celebrate heroes who do the right thing and shame those who abuse their positions for personal gain. She noted that Ghana’s resources are not meant for a single-family or ethnic group.

Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings acknowledged the sacred and solemn mandate given to leaders by Ghanaians, emphasizing that politicians are at a critical juncture, surrounded by unrest and democratic reversals.
