The pitch contest is an opportunity for students with entrepreneurial potentials to pitch their business to investors and companies in a bid to secure funding for their start up.

The competition is held in Germany every year and also gives the students the opportunity to network and share ideas with other students and communities across Europe.

Students from more than 40 universities participate in the event every year in the German capital.

The Collaboration between Pagbinaa Meriga Peace Initiative and the organizers of the competition is making students from Ghana, the first from Africa to participate in the event.

The two-day event in Accra has teams from 14 tertiary institutions for participation in a competition ahead of the Berlin event.

The selected winners will travel to Berlin, to compete with over forty-five other teams from Germany and other European Universities. They stand a chance of winning from the over three million Euros worth of prizes as well as training programs from investors to help develop their ideas.

In 2022, twenty teams from forty universities across Europe presented their business ideas to 25 business partners in Berlin.
