The Chief Executive Officer of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Dr. Oheneba Owusu Danso says 140 Health personnel at the Hospital have tested positive for Covid- 19, with one death.
Out of the number, 70 have fully recovered and are back to work.
Dr. Owusu Danso disclosed this in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana in Kumasi.
He noted that the increase in health facilities in the Ashanti Region is a timely intervention since that will reduce the work load on Komfo Anokye and also help the doctors to pay more attention to those with critical conditions.
He expressed worry over the non-compliance of safety protocols and advised the public to adhere to the measures to help reduce the rate of infection.
