Due to the change in venue, the International friendly against Botswana slated for Monday, January 8th, 2024 in Johannesburg has been cancelled as the FA is working on finding a new opponent for the team as part preparations towards the big tournament in Ivory Coast.

The FA also announced in a statement that, the training section of the team will be behind closed doors and will not be accessible to the public and media.

The FA added that,  the team will have an organised section with the media before the friendly match which is yet to be disclosed.

The FA further called on Ghanaians for public understanding and support as they camp in Kumasi to ensure that the objective of both the team and the technical team are achieved.

Ghana will open her group account against Cape Verde Islands on Sunday, 14th January before taking on Egypt on 18th January, 2024,  before signing off against Mozambique in the final Group B game on Monday, 22nd January, 2024.
