The 2023 Africa Basketball Festival will commence from 15th to 17th December. The competition is organised by RITE Sports in collaboration with partners ‘Beyond The Return’ Office and the Ghana Basketball Association.
This event will be hosting different countries to showcase their respective talents in basketball. Countries like UK, Liberia, Togo and many more will be gracing this big event.
The 2023 African Basketball Festival promises to be packed with fun, games, music and some basketball freestyles.
In an interview on Studio 5 on GTV sports +, with Gloria Peprah, Yaw Sakyi, team lead of this initiative explained the growth of the event since its inception.
He stressed that this year’s expansion to eight participating countries reflects the festival’s progress.
“Last year, we had an impressive display of talent, music, and art with four countries. This time, with eight nations, we aim to create an even more memorable experience for everyone”; said Yaw Sakyi.
He added that the final day will have an e-sports competition before University of Ghana takes on Accra Technical University and the winner of Africa will take on the winner of the international games.
