The 2004 Year Group of Abor Senior High School (ABORSCO), Old Students Association has installed ultramodern signage at the school as a way of contributing to the development of the institution.

The 2004-year group led by Samuel Dumenya sponsored the design, fixing, and installation of 3D signage for ABORSCO in commemoration of its 20th Anniversary Celebration since they left the school.

Accordingly, the management of the school has approved the commissioning and handing over of the project to the school, which took place on Wednesday, 18th December 2024, at the school’s premises.

In an interview with gbcghanaonline.com, Samuel Dumenya believes this will “stimulate some enthusiasm” and challenged other year groups to replicate similar efforts in some other areas, which will together bridge the infrastructure gaps and enhance the academic development of the school.

He said, as part of activities to mark its 20 years of completion of ABORSCO, the 2004-year group sought to do something for the school. Upon consultation with the then Headmaster of blessed memory, who outlined the lack of signage (signpost) among other numerous infrastructural constraints facing the school. The year group decided to take up the signage as a project to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

“In a nutshell, the motivation was to solve an infrastructure problem that was bedevilling the school during the observation of our 20th Anniversary Celebration,” Mr. Dumenya added.

In a statement, the mother group, Abor Senior Secondary Old Students Association (ASSOSA), commended the 2004-year group for the remarkable achievement.

It extended heartfelt accolades to the cohort, describing their achievement as impeccable and a source of pride for the association.

The statement signed by the National Public Relations Officer, Noah Agbeko Dumenya, wished the batch a happy 20th anniversary and appealed to other year groups to emulate their 2004 colleagues and aspire to do more for the school to improve teaching and learning and enhance the image of the school.
