St. Martin de Porres Catholic Hospital at Agormanya gets CT scan facility

The St. Martin De Porres Catholic Hospital, Agormanya at Odumase Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region has commissioned a Computerized Tomography, CT Scan Services and Phase One of the CT Scan Building to aid quality health delivery in Odumase Krobo and its neighbouring Municipalities. This is to help meet the increasing demand of quality healthcare delivery in Odumase Krobo and its environs.

During the commissioning of a Computerized Tomography, CT scan machine, the Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Gospel Agamah revealed that the CT scan machine will help to provide exceptional healthcare to the people of Agormanya, the Eastern Region, and beyond.

He reiterated that the new scan facility represents not just an investment in advanced medical technology but a commitment to enhance diagnostic accuracy, vision care, and treatment outcomes for the health facility.

The Koforidua Diocesan Bishop of the Catholic Church, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifa-Agyekum, noted that the commissioning of the CT scan facility is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of the people of Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region and beyond.

The Hospital Administrator, Emmanuel Bosompem, hinted that even before the commissioning of the CT scan facility, the hospital since June 26 to August 23 has provided one hundred and 47 CT Scan servicing cases to patients. This, he said, shows the relevance of the CT scan machine to the hospital. He mentioned that the hospital is on course to establish an oxygen plant.

In an interview with the Managing Director of Healthineers Consult, the Consultant for the establishment of the CT scan facility, Edward Essah noted that, their vision is to help health facilities in the country to get access to quality health equipment. He mentioned some health facilities in the country that have their machines.

The St. Martin De Porres Catholic Hospital is a level-four safe care health facility located in Agormanya at Odumase Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region. The hospital is a member of the National Catholic Health Services, CHSTs and the Christian Health Association of Ghana, CHAG, under the Koforidua Diocese of the Catholic Church. The facility provides quality healthcare to towns, villages and various communities in Odumase Krobo and beyond for the past 70 years.
