The withdrawn New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Aspirant and former Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen will this afternoon announce his political future at a news conference in Accra.
Mr. Kyerematen announced his withdrawal from the race after alleged assault of some of his supporters during the NPP`s Super Delegates Conference held last month.
Mr. Kyerematen came third.
Speaking to GBC News, the Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Musah Dankwah, said Mr. Kyerematen will be better of politically if he goes independent.
For his part, Political Governance Analyst, Fred Oduro, says it will be better for Mr. Kyerematen to remain in the NPP and have to become a running mate.
He said, Mr. Kyerematen influence in the NPP has dwindled over the years and it is not possible for him to lead the NPP as a flagbearer.
