Former Minister for Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen says his plan is to establish a government of national unity if elected as President of Ghana in the 2024 Presidential elections.

The Presidential hopeful announced this on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, via his official X page.

“When I am elected as President, Ministers and other key Government officials will be appointed from ALL PARTIES, and shall also include individuals who are APOLITICAL but have a demonstrable and proven track record of performance, in their field of specialization” Mr Kyerematen wrote.

He went on to state, “I will promote the establishment of a Government of National Unity, which will include people from all walks of life, irrespective of their political, religious, and ethnic affiliations: rich or poor, able-bodied or physically challenged, young or old, women and men.”

Mr. Kyerematen declared his intention to contest as an Independent Presidential Candidate in the 2024 elections at a press conference held in Accra, yesterday September 25 2023.
