AFC Bournemouth ended their six-game winless run with a thrilling 1-0 victory over Fulham at the Vitality Stadium, thanks to Antoine Semenyo’s lightning-fast goal.
The 25-year-old scored in just 53 seconds, netting his eighth league goal of the season and 17th Premier League strike overall. Semenyo’s goal against Fulham now move him joint-fifth on the all-time highest Ghanaian Premier League scorers chart with Chelsea legend Michael Essien.

The Ghanaian, sitting joint-fifth on the all-time highest Ghanaian Premier League scorers chart find himself behind some of Ghana’s most prolific footballers, including Andre Ayew (21 goals), Jeffery Schlupp (22 goals), Tony Yeboah (24 goals) and Jordan Ayew (41 goals).
With his impressive form, Semenyo will be looking to move up the chart and cement his legacy as one of Ghana’s top footballers.
Semenyo’s goal not only increased his overall Premier League tally but also ended Bournemouth’s winless streak and matched his best scoring season in a Premier League campaign.
The Ghanaian forward has been in impressive form this season and his goal scoring ability has been a key factor in Bournemouth’s success. With eight league goals already, Semenyo will be looking to extend his tally when Bournemouth travels to play Crystal Palace on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
