The leader and founder of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga has apologised to the Ghana News Agency, GNA, and the media fraternity for the abuse of a GNA reporter by some supporters of the APC in the Upper East Region.

He said as a leader, he will call his supporters to order, noting that the unfortunate incident is a disgrace to him and the Party.

Mr Ayariga however called on the GNA to also do the right thing by retracting the story which is against his personality.

He condemned all acts of violence and lawlessness, saying violence is not the panacea to conflict resolution.
