The national women’s team of Ghana, the Black Queens have been charged to complete their Women African Cup of Nations qualification series in a grand style by beating their Namibian counterparts on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
The Black Queens of Ghana under their new gaffer, Nora Huptle has chalked some impressive run of victories conceding just a goal in all their preparatory matches and qualifiers. This impressive record has edged the team closer to a spot in the upcoming Women’s AFCON which is to be hosted by the East Africa Giants, Morocco.
In their preparations towards their final qualifier, the players have been charged by both Ghanaians and football administrators and stakeholders. Among them is Ghana’s former international, Anthony Baffoe.
The Deputy General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football has commended the stellar performance shown by the coach of the Women’s team and the entire players and charged them to seal their excellent displays with a grand qualification into the Women AFCON.
He wrote on his official social media page wishing the players well.
“Dear Black Queens, you have come a long impressive way with dedication and determination and team spirit led by Coach Nora and her technical team. Seal it, close it, and qualify. Best of luck to you ladies” he wrote.
The Black Queens on Friday December 5, 2023, swept three goals past their Namibian Counterparts in Accra during their first leg of the final qualification series. They play a return leg in Namibia to seal their spot in the WAFCON. The coach and entire team have already arrived in the country to prepare ahead of the clash.
