Black Stars head coach Nora Hauptle will meet the media today, 30th November, 2023 at 4pm ahead of Friday 1st December, 2023 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia.

The Queens had their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday after holding their first training session at the Legon Union Park on Tuesday.

Nora Hauptle and her gallant ladies opened camp at the La Palm Royal Beach on Monday after touching down in the country with 18 players showing up for training on the first day at Legon.

Ghana head into Friday’s first leg tie against Namibia riding on the back of  a 12-0 aggregate win over Rwanda from the previous round .They will jet off to Windhoek to face Namibia four days later as victory in both legs will seal a qualification ticket to next year’s WAFCON in Morocco. The last time the Black Queens participated in the WAFCON dates back to 2018 on home soil where they crashed out of the group stages after 3 games.

Nora Huptle has won 8 of her last 8 matches scoring 29 goals and conceded zero goals which is worth a blistering start for the former Swiss national team defender who has built and solidified her team in the defensive department which makes it difficult for opponents to breach.

Usual ‘suspects’ Evelyn Badu, Doris Boaduwaa will be expected to prove their worth against Namibia tomorrow in Accra.
