The Black Queens of Ghana have begun their nine-day training tour in Senegal, holding their first session in Dakar on Thursday, April 3.
The team is gearing up for the delayed 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be held in Morocco later this year.
All 22 players selected by head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren participated in the training session, including five who missed the February camp in Morocco during the Swede’s first assignment. The team’s presence in Senegal is a crucial part of their preparations for the upcoming WAFCON.

During their training tour, the Black Queens will face Senegal in two friendly games on April 5 and April 8. These matches will provide the team with valuable experience and help them fine-tune their strategies ahead of the WAFCON.
